Description

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially released the admit cards for the SSC Stenographer Grade C and Grade D Examination 2025. Applicants who submitted their forms successfully can now access their hall tickets on the official website. The examination will be held from August 6 to August 8, 2025.

This recruitment drive aims to fill 1,590 stenographer positions, with 230 vacancies for Grade C and 1,360 vacancies for Grade D. Candidates are advised to download their admit cards ahead of time and verify all information carefully. The admit card is mandatory for entry into the examination hall and must be presented along with a valid photo ID.

Key Dates And Exam Timeline

  • Notification Release Date: June 5, 2025

  • Last Date for Application & Fee Payment: June 26, 2025

  • City Intimation Slip Release: July 31, 2025

  • Admit Card Availability: 2–3 days before exam

  • Exam Dates: August 6–8, 2025

The selection process includes a Computer-Based Test (CBT), followed by a descriptive test, skill test, document verification, and final merit list. Results will be published upon the completion of all stages.

Steps To Download SSC Stenographer Admit Card 2025

  • First visit the official website.

  • Now click on the link on the homepage.

  • Enter your Application Number and Date of Birth.

  • Submit the details to access your admit card.

  • Download and print the hall ticket for exam day use.

Candidates must carry a printed copy of their admit card and a government-issued photo ID to the exam center. Failure to do so may result in disqualification from appearing for the test.

Eligibility Criteria & Job Profile

To apply for either Grade C or D posts, candidates must have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination from a recognized board. Transcription timing requirements are as follows:

  • Grade C: 40 minutes (English) / 55 minutes (Hindi)

  • Grade D: 50 minutes (English) / 65 minutes (Hindi)

Pay Scale:

  • Grade C: Rs 9,300 – Rs 34,800 + Grade Pay Rs 4,200

  • Grade D: Rs 5,200 – Rs 20,200 + Grade Pay Rs 2,400

Additional benefits include House Rent Allowance (HRA), Dearness Allowance (DA), and Travel Allowance (TA), depending on the posting location.

Exam Pattern Overview

The Computer-Based Test will include:

  • General Intelligence & Reasoning: 50 questions (50 marks)

  • General Awareness: 50 questions (50 marks)

  • English Language & Comprehension: 100 questions (100 marks)

  • Total: 200 marks

  • Duration: 2 hours

  • Negative Marking: 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer

Candidates will progress through further rounds based on their CBT performance.
