The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) is set to close the online registration process for Class 6 admissions into Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs). Eligible students can apply for the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) 2025 by July 29, 2025, through the official website.
Currently, 654 JNVs are operational across 27 states and 8 Union Territories in India.
JNVST 2025 Exam Schedule
The selection test for admission will be conducted in two phases:
Phase 1: December 13, 2025 (Saturday)
This phase covers the following regions:
Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh (except Dibang Valley and Tawang), Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Telangana, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and West Bengal (except Darjeeling).
It also includes the Union Territories of Delhi, Chandigarh, Lakshadweep, Puducherry, Daman & Diu, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, and Jammu & Kashmir (only Jammu-I, Jammu-II, Samba & Udhampur).
In Himachal Pradesh, all districts except Chamba, Kinnaur, Mandi, Sirmaur, Kullu, Lahaul & Spiti, Solan, and Shimla are included.
Phase 2: April 11, 2026 (Saturday)
This phase will be held in the following areas:
Jammu & Kashmir (excluding Jammu-I, Jammu-II, Samba & Udhampur), Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Darjeeling (West Bengal), and Leh & Kargil districts of Ladakh UT.
Also included are the districts of Dibang Valley and Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh, and Chamba, Kinnaur, Mandi, Sirmaur, Kullu, Lahaul & Spiti, Solan, and Shimla in Himachal Pradesh.
Documents Required For JNVST 2025 Registration
Applicants are required to upload the following documents in JPG format with a file size between 10 KB and 100 KB:
Recent passport-size photograph of the candidate
Signature of the student
Signature of a parent/guardian
Aadhaar card details or a valid residence certificate issued by a competent government authority
Additionally, candidates must provide essential information such as:
State, district, and block of residence
Aadhaar number
APAAR ID
PEN (Permanent Education Number)
The application process includes filling out personal details and uploading all necessary documents, including photographs and signatures.
