Description
The State Bank of India (SBI) has officially released the exam dates for the SBI Probationary Officer (PO) Preliminary Examination 2025. As per the announcement, the preliminary exams will be held on August 2, 4, and 5, 2025. Candidates can visit the SBI official website to view the schedule and stay updated.
SBI PO Prelims 2025: Exam Pattern
The preliminary exam is an objective-type test carrying a total of 100 marks and will be conducted over a duration of 1 hour. The test is divided into three sections:
English Language
Quantitative Aptitude
Reasoning Ability
Each section will have a separate time allocation. There will be no sectional cut-off in the preliminary exam.
Negative Marking Policy
Candidates should be aware that a penalty for incorrect answers will be applied. For each wrong answer, one-fourth of the marks assigned to the question will be deducted from the total score.
Admit Card And Result Details
The admit card for the SBI PO prelims is expected to be released soon. Candidates will be able to download it from the official SBI website using their login credentials.
The result for the prelims is expected to be declared in August or September 2025.
SBI PO 2025: Selection Process
The recruitment process for SBI PO consists of three phases:
Phase I – Preliminary Examination
Phase II – Main Examination
Phase III – Psychometric Test, Group Exercise & Interview
Candidates who qualify in each phase will move on to the next stage based on merit.

41 Backlog Vacancies
The online application window for the recruitment was open from June 24 to July 14, 2025.
