Commissioned into the Administrative branch of the IAF in June 1990, Air Marshal Sivakumar brings over 35 years of distinguished service to his new role. Air Marshal Jasvir Singh Mann Becomes Senior Air Staff Officer, Western Air Command
In another key development, Air Marshal Jasvir Singh Mann assumed charge as the Senior Air Staff Officer of the Western Air Command (WAC) on June 1, 2025. The WAC is among the most operationally critical commands of the Indian Air Force, responsible for guarding India’s western borders.

On May 2, 2025, Air Marshal Narmdeshwar Tiwari took charge as the Vice Chief of the Air Staff, the second-highest position in the Indian Air Force. Before this appointment, he was serving as the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the South Western Air Command (SWAC).
