The Bank of Baroda (BOB), a premier public sector bank in India, has issued an official notification inviting applications for the post of Local Bank Officers (LBO). This large-scale recruitment drive seeks to fill 2,500 regular vacancies in various states across the country.

Educational Qualifications

Applicants must possess a graduate degree in any stream from a recognised university or institution. This includes candidates with Integrated Dual Degrees (IDDs).
Candidates with professional degrees such as:

• Chartered Accountancy (CA)

• Cost Accountancy (CMA)

• Engineering

• Medicine
  are also considered eligible.

Work Experience

A minimum of 1 year of post-qualification experience is required in an officer-level role at:

• Scheduled Commercial Banks, or

• Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) listed under the Second Schedule of the RBI.

Note: Experience from NBFCs, Co-operative Banks, Small Finance Banks, Payment Banks, or Fintech companies will not be counted.

Language Proficiency

Candidates must be able to read, write, and understand the local language of the state they are applying for, as postings will be within the selected state.

Citizenship

Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.

Selection Process

The recruitment process will consist of the following stages:

• Online Written Examination

  • The test will contain 120 objective-type questions divided into 4 sections: English Language, Banking Knowledge, General/Economic Awareness, Reasoning & Quantitative Aptitude

  • Each section carries 30 marks, and the duration for each section is 30 minutes.

  • Minimum Qualifying Marks: General/EWS: 40%, SC/ST/OBC/PWD: 35%

• Psychometric Assessment

• Group Discussion and/or Personal Interview

Candidates who clear the written test will proceed to the next stages of evaluation.
