Description
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially released the examination schedule for the 2025 recruitment of Assistant Commandants (ACs) in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs). Candidates can view the detailed timetable on the UPSC official website.
Exam Date And Schedule
The CAPF ACs Exam 2025 is set to take place on August 3, 2025, and will be conducted in two separate sessions:
Paper 1 – General Ability and Intelligence (Objective Type):
Timing – 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon
This paper consists of 250 marks with multiple-choice questions available in both English and Hindi.Paper 2 – General Studies, Essay, and Comprehension (Descriptive Type):
Timing – 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM
This paper carries 200 marks. Candidates can write the essay portion in either English or Hindi, but precis writing, comprehension, and other communication components must be answered in English only.

This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 357 Assistant Commandant positions across various CAPF units. The distribution of vacancies is as follows:
Border Security Force (BSF): 24 posts
Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF): 204 posts
Central Industrial Security Force (CISF): 92 posts
Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP): 4 posts
Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB): 33 posts
Admit Card Details
The admit cards for the examination will be made available on the last working day of the week preceding the exam. Candidates can download their hall tickets from official website once released.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Physical Standards Test (PST)
