The Government of Bihar has introduced a new initiative titled the ‘Mukhya Mantri Pratigya’ scheme, designed to help young individuals secure internships after completing their Class 12 examinations. The scheme, approved during a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, seeks to reduce youth unemployment and improve students’ industry-readiness.
Key Features Of Mukhya Mantri Pratigya Scheme
This scheme is targeted at youths aged 18 to 28. Those eligible include:
Class 12 pass-outs,
Individuals who have undergone skill development training, and
Holders of Industrial Training Institute (ITI) diplomas.
Internship durations can range from three to twelve months, during which participants will receive monthly financial aid.

Rupees 4,000/month for Class 12 pass-outs,
Rupees 5,000/month for ITI diploma holders,
Rupees 6,000/month for graduates and postgraduates.
Those interning outside their home district will be given an extra Rupees 2,000/month, while interns working outside the state will get an additional Rupees 5,000/month for a maximum of three months.
