Description
The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has published the detailed examination schedule for the Assistant Engineer (AE) Recruitment 2025. Candidates planning to appear for the exam can access the complete timetable by visiting the official website.
According to the official notification, the examination will be held across three consecutive days July 17, 18, and 19, 2025 in two shifts per day.
Morning Shift: 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon
Afternoon Shift: 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM
Exam Structure And Paper Format
The written exam will include six papers in total:
Four compulsory papers: General English, General Hindi, General Studies, General Engineering Science, These will all be objective-type.
Two optional papers will also be in objective format, tailored to the candidate’s engineering stream Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical.
Qualifying Criteria For Language Papers
It is important to note that General English and General Hindi papers are only qualifying in nature. Candidates must secure a minimum of 30 marks in each. Only after achieving the qualifying marks in these papers will the remaining subject papers be evaluated.???????

Assistant Engineer (Civil) – 984 vacancies
Assistant Engineer (Mechanical) – 36 vacancies
