The State Bank of India (SBI) has officially opened the application window for the recruitment of Probationary Officers (PO) for the year 2025. Interested and eligible candidates can submit their applications online through the official SBI official website. The last date to apply is July 14, 2025.

A total of 541 positions are available this year, including 500 regular posts and 41 backlog vacancies.

Preliminary Exam Admit Card: Expected in the 3rd or 4th week of July 2025
Prelims Exam: Scheduled for July/August 2025
Prelims Result: To be declared in August/September 2025
Main Exam Admit Card: Available in August/September 2025
Main Exam: Likely in September 2025
Main Result: Expected by September/October 2025
Psychometric Test, Interview & Group Exercises: To be conducted in October/November 2025
Final Result: Will be declared by November/December 2025
Eligibility Criteria For SBI PO 2025
Age Limit: Candidates must be between 21 and 30 years as of April 1, 2025. Age relaxation is available for reserved categories as per government norms.
Educational Qualification: Applicants must hold a graduate degree in any discipline from a recognised university or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Central Government.
Final-year students are also eligible, provided they can present proof of passing the qualifying exam on or before September 30, 2025.
Candidates enrolled in dual degree programs must also produce their final passing certificate by the same date.
Individuals with professional degrees such as Engineering, Medicine, Chartered Accountancy, or Cost Accountancy are also eligible.

SC / ST / PwBD: No application fee
Other Important Guidelines
Candidates with unpaid dues under any loan or credit arrangement with banks, NBFCs, or financial institutions including credit card defaults will be considered ineligible unless the dues are cleared before the issuance of the offer letter. If repayment is completed but the CIBIL record is not updated by the date of joining, candidates must either ensure the CIBIL status is corrected or provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the respective lenders.
Note: Applicants are strongly advised to check and confirm their CIBIL score and financial status before applying for the exam.
