Description
In a major initiative to strengthen grassroots entrepreneurship, the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with YourStory Media Pvt. Ltd.. The collaboration aims to support and empower 1 million budding entrepreneurs from Tier II, Tier III cities, and rural regions under the umbrella of The Bharat Project.
This strategic partnership is part of DPIIT’s broader efforts to make entrepreneurship more inclusive and accessible across India. Moving beyond traditional urban startup hubs, this initiative focuses on leveraging digital tools, artificial intelligence, and regional language content to democratize the startup ecosystem. The project aims to provide critical infrastructure, mentorship, and resources to aspiring founders in less-connected parts of the country.
