The Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT) has officially launched the ‘Samarth’ Program, an incubation initiative aimed at empowering startups in the Telecom and ICT sectors. This program is focused on fostering innovation by offering key support such as funding, infrastructure, and expert mentorship. In its first round, 18 startups were selected through a competitive evaluation process to be part of the inaugural cohort.
About Samarth Program
‘Samarth’ is designed to accelerate startups working in advanced technology areas such as:
Telecommunications applications
Cybersecurity
5G and 6G technologies
Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Internet of Things (IoT)
Quantum technologies
The program runs in two six-month cohorts, with a capacity to support 36 startups in total. Each selected startup receives up to ?5 lakh in funding, along with fully-equipped office space at C-DOT’s innovation campuses in New Delhi and Bengaluru.
Startup Selection Process
Startups were shortlisted by a Selection Committee based on multiple criteria, including:
Level of innovation
Market potential of the product
Strength and capability of the founding team
Relevance to specific technology challenges
This meticulous selection ensured that only high-potential startups were admitted into the program.

The official launch was graced by key dignitaries including Dr. Rajkumar Upadhyay, CEO of C-DOT, and Sh. Arvind Kumar, Director General of STPI.
