NEET PG 2025 Exam Postponed

Description

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has officially postponed the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate courses (NEET PG) 2025. This decision comes in compliance with a directive from the Supreme Court, which instructed that the exam be conducted in a single shift rather than in multiple sessions.

Originally scheduled for June 15, 2025, the NEET PG exam will now be rescheduled, with revised dates to be announced shortly. The deferment allows NBEMS to make logistical adjustments, including the arrangement of additional examination centers to accommodate all candidates in one shift.

NEET PG is a national-level entrance test for medical graduates seeking admission to postgraduate programs such as MD, MS, and PG Diploma across India. The NBEMS conducts this examination annually as a mandatory requirement for entry into postgraduate medical education.

As a result of the postponement, the advance city intimation slip, which was expected to be released on June 2, 2025, will also be delayed. NBEMS will notify candidates about the new release dates for the city slip, admit card, and examination schedule through its official website.

Following the exam, candidates who qualify will proceed to the counselling stage. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will oversee the counselling process for 50% of the All India Quota (AIQ) seats, while the remaining seats will be managed by the respective state counselling authorities.

For further updates, candidates are advised to regularly check the NBEMS official website.
