About Theme: YANTRA And Yugantar

The theme for National Technology Day 2025, “YANTRA Yugantar for Advancing New Technology, Research & Acceleration,” draws on India’s rich scientific and cultural heritage. The term “YANTRA” refers to more than just mechanical tools it embodies the concept of systematic and scientific approaches to innovation. YANTRA in this context symbolizes:

  • Systems Thinking - Understanding technology and innovation as interconnected systems that lead to scalable solutions.

  • Synergistic Innovation - Harnessing collective and integrated approaches to create breakthroughs in various fields of technology.

  • Scalable Technological Solutions - Designing technologies that can be expanded and adapted to address both current and future challenges on a global scale.

The word “Yugantar” translates to “epochal transformation”, signifying India’s significant shift from merely adopting technology to becoming a global leader in innovation.
