In a remarkable stride towards enhancing India’s surveillance and aerospace capabilities, the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) successfully conducted the first-ever flight trials of a Stratospheric Airship Platform on May 3, 2025, from Sheopur, Madhya Pradesh. This high-altitude, lighter-than-air platform was developed by the Aerial Delivery Research and Development Establishment (ADRDE), a DRDO laboratory located in Agra, Uttar Pradesh.
