In a significant move towards advancing cutting-edge technology, the Government of Andhra Pradesh has initiated plans to develop the country’s first Quantum Computing Village in Amaravati. Spearheaded by the Real-Time Governance Society (RTGS), this ambitious project will span across 50 acres and aims to build a thriving environment for quantum computing innovation, research, and industry collaboration.
State-Of-The-Art Infrastructure And Ecosystem
The proposed Quantum Computing Village will include a landmark structure an Iconic Building conceptualized by IBM which will be equipped with advanced quantum computing facilities and a high-performance computing data center. Leading technology firms such as Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Larsen & Toubro (L&T) are involved in shaping the technical framework and infrastructure. The facility is also expected to support the deployment of the IBM Quantum System Two, representing a major leap forward in India’s quantum computing capabilities.
