Dedicated to Lord Garia, the deity of prosperity and good fortune, the festival spans seven days and is deeply rooted in the traditions of the indigenous communities of the state. Cultural Origins
The festival finds its roots in the tribal heritage of Tripura and marks the onset of the Boishakh month in the traditional Tripuri calendar. Traditional Rituals

The blood is offered to Lord Garia as a sacred gesture.
