Description
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the final results for the Combined Defence Services (CDS) 2 Examination 2024 on its official website. A total of 349 candidates have successfully qualified based on their performance in the written exam conducted by UPSC and the subsequent interviews held by the Service Selection Board (SSB). The commission has published three separate merit lists for the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Naval Academy (INA), and Air Force Academy (AFA), noting that some candidates appear in multiple lists.
According to the official notification, 2,534 candidates qualified in the written test for IMA, 900 for INA, and 613 for AFA. These candidates were then eligible to participate in the interview stage.
The merit lists have been compiled without considering the results of the medical examination. UPSC stated that the verification of candidates’ date of birth and educational qualifications is still ongoing at Army Headquarters. As a result, the selection of candidates remains provisional. Those who have been shortlisted must submit their original certificates proving their date of birth and educational qualifications along with attested photocopies to the respective headquarters of the Army, Navy, or Air Force based on their first preference.
UPSC has also mentioned that the marks of all candidates will be published on the official website after the final result for the Officers Training Academy (OTA) course under CDS 2 Examination 2025.
