About Taurus KEPD-350

The Taurus KEPD-350 is a modular, precision-guided cruise missile designed for air-launching, with a focus on long-range strikes. It was developed and produced by Taurus Systems GmbH, a partnership between Germany's MBDA Deutschland GmbH and Sweden's Saab Bofors Dynamics.

The missile is built to penetrate dense air defense systems and effectively destroy hard or deeply buried stationary and semi-stationary military targets. It entered operational service in 2005 and is currently used by air forces in Germany, Spain, South Korea, and other nations.

Key Features

• Dimensions and Weight - The missile is 5 meters long, with a wingspan of 2.1 meters, and weighs approximately 1,400 kilograms.

• Range and Speed - It has an impressive range of over 500 kilometers. The Taurus KEPD-350 is powered by a turbofan engine, which allows it to cruise at speeds between Mach 0.6 and Mach 0.95, even at very low altitudes.

• Modular Design - The missile consists of modular sections that can be customized for specific mission requirements. Its electronic systems are also modular, ensuring flexibility.

• Operational Capability - Suitable for all-weather, day-and-night operations, the missile is equipped with a highly advanced Tri-Tec navigation system.
