Local communities, particularly activists, have raised concerns about the environmental effects of the hybrid energy park. There are fears it could disrupt traditional grazing lands, an important resource for local herders. To mitigate these impacts, a pilot solar project is planned, which will allow nomadic herders to graze their livestock under solar panels.

Construction of the transmission project is slated to begin in 2025-26 and will take several working seasons to complete.
