Due to the ongoing Mahakumbh Mela, the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) Roorkee and IIT Delhi have announced changes to the examination centres for GATE 2025 and JAM 2025, respectively, in Prayagraj. In a notice posted on the official websites of GATE 2025 and JAM 2025, it was communicated that the exams scheduled in Prayagraj on February 1 and 2 will now be conducted in Lucknow on the same dates.

The decision was made following several candidates' concerns about reaching the exam centres in Prayagraj, due to the large number of devotees expected during the Mahakumbh Mela. The notice explained that, in light of these concerns, the GATE 2025 and JAM 2025 exams will now be held at new centres in Lucknow. Updated admit cards reflecting these changes are now available for download.

Candidates can download the revised hall tickets through the GOAPS official website for GATE 2025 and the JOAPS official website for JAM 2025. The notice also reminded candidates to verify that the updated test centre details are correctly reflected on their admit cards. Additionally, candidates must bring the same photo ID that they uploaded in their online application, which is also mentioned in the admit card, for identity verification purposes.
