Description
The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Sambalpur has launched its first full-time MBA program in Business Analytics at its Delhi campus. This program is open to candidates who have a strong academic background in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), along with a valid high CAT percentile and at least one year of relevant work experience.
Additionally, IIM Sambalpur has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand, to offer a dual-degree course. This collaboration aims to provide students with a globally-focused, interdisciplinary education that integrates the strengths of both the MBA and Business Analytics programs. AIT’s MBA program is highly regarded, ranked 23rd in Asia and among the top 200 globally in the QS Global MBA Rankings 2024.
The MBA program in Business Analytics focuses on blending management education with analytical and technological skills, preparing students to tackle complex challenges in the rapidly evolving, AI-driven business world. The curriculum follows a STEM framework, combining the disciplines of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics with management principles.
Academic Program Overview
In the first year, students will study at the IIM Sambalpur Delhi campus. In the second year, they have the option to study at AIT Thailand. Upon successful completion of the program, students will be awarded a dual degree with a specialization in Business Analytics. Additionally, they will be granted a one-year extended work visa for Thailand, providing opportunities to begin an international career.
Prof. Mahadeo Jaiswal, Director of IIM Sambalpur, highlighted that the launch of this MBA program represents a significant milestone for the institute. He stated, “This program aligns with India's ambition to become a global hub for analytics and technology, while equipping our students to thrive in an interconnected, data-driven world. Our Delhi campus will admit 70 students for this newly introduced MBA in Business Analytics.”
Prof. Jaiswal further emphasized that the partnership with AIT Thailand enhances IIM Sambalpur’s global ties and reflects the institute’s commitment to nurturing leaders who prioritize innovation, integrity, and inclusivity.
In addition to this new MBA program, IIM Sambalpur offers two other dual-degree programs: an MBA in Fintech Management in collaboration with Sorbonne Business School (Paris) and an Executive PhD & DBA program in partnership with Bordeaux University School of Management.
