Description
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened the online registration and application process for the All India Sainik School Entrance Examination (AISSEE) 2025. Interested candidates can apply at exams AISSEE official website. This offline exam, using OMR sheets, aims to select students for admission to Class 6 and Class 9 in Sainik Schools across India for the academic year 2025-26. The registration window began on December 25, 2024, and will close at 5:00 PM on January 13, 2025. The last date for fee payment is January 14, 2025.
The application fee is Rupees 800 for candidates from the General, OBC-NCL, Defence, and Ex-servicemen categories, while for SC and ST candidates, the fee is Rupees 650.
The examination will be held in 190 cities across India, as outlined in the official information bulletin. Details about the exam date and admit card release will be announced later.
AISSEE 2025 Eligibility Criteria For Admission
For Class 6 Admission: Candidates must be between 10 and 12 years old as of March 31, 2025. This means they should be born between April 1, 2013, and March 31, 2015 (inclusive). Girl candidates are eligible to apply for Class 6 admission in all Sainik Schools. The number of seats for female candidates in each school is mentioned in the information bulletin.
For Class 9 Admission: Candidates must be between 13 and 15 years old as of March 31, 2025, meaning they should have been born between April 1, 2010, and March 31, 2012. Female candidates can apply for Class 9 admission, subject to seat availability. Candidates must have passed the Class 8 exam from a recognized school at the time of admission.

The exam duration for Class 6 is 150 minutes, and for Class 9, it is 180 minutes. The Class 6 exam will be held from 2 pm to 4:30 pm and the Class 9 exam will be held from 2 pm to 5 pm.
