The “Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore” campaign, scheduled from December 19 to December 24, 2024, will be a key component of the Good Governance Week activities across India. This initiative is aimed at improving service delivery and addressing public grievances, particularly in rural regions.
Objectives Of Campaign
The main objective of the campaign is to bring effective governance directly to rural communities, ensuring that development and services reach every citizen. By focusing on resolving public complaints, the initiative strives to improve the quality of services provided to people in remote areas.
Launch And Participation
The campaign will kick off virtually in over 700 districts, with key officials such as Chief Secretaries, District Commissioners, and other local authorities participating in the inauguration. Representatives from states including Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Assam, and Bihar will play significant roles during the launch events.
Workshops And Engagement
Throughout the campaign, workshops will be held to discuss issues related to good governance and improvements in service delivery. These workshops will bring together local officials and community leaders to enhance their understanding and skills in addressing governance challenges. Detailed guidelines for conducting these workshops have been shared with all participating districts.
Dedicated Portal For Grievance Management
To support the campaign, a dedicated online portal has been launched on December 10, 2024. The portal, available at https://darpgapps.nic.in/GGW24, will serve as a hub for resources and information. It will enable tracking of grievances, provide access to best practices, and help ensure that citizens’ concerns are addressed efficiently.
Planned Activities And Success Stories
From December 19 to 24, states and Union Territories will organize a variety of activities, including special camps for grievance resolution and online complaint management. Success stories showcasing effective grievance redressal will be shared to inspire and encourage the adoption of best practices in governance. On December 23, 2024, workshops will take place across all districts to focus on good governance practices, sharing successful strategies and fostering collaboration among officials to improve service delivery.
