Description

The Directorate of Education, Delhi, has announced the winter vacation dates for government schools in the city, which will be from January 1 to 15, 2025. However, a special initiative has been introduced for students in classes 9 to 12 during this break.

Under this initiative, remedial classes will be held to help students strengthen their understanding of key subjects. Students in classes 9 and 11 will receive daily remedial lessons in English, Science, and Mathematics to ensure they are well-prepared for upcoming exams. On the other hand, students in classes 10 and 12 will focus on revision and practice with pre-board question papers.

School principals have been instructed to prepare a timetable for these remedial classes, ensuring that each session lasts at least one hour. Attendance at the remedial classes is compulsory, and students are required to attend in proper school uniform.

To keep everyone informed, schools must notify students and parents about the remedial class schedules through various channels, such as morning or evening assemblies, meetings with the School Management Committee (SMC), notes in student diaries, and group SMS notifications.
