Description
The Agriculture and Water Technology Development Hub (AWaDH) at IIT Ropar has unveiled a new Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) Gateway and Node System, which is part of the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NM-ICPS) and funded by the Government of India.
Key Features Of BLE System
The BLE Gateway offers versatile connectivity options, including support for 4G, WiFi, and LAN, enabling seamless data transmission over distances of up to 1 km in a line-of-sight. It gathers data from multiple nodes, which can be used for analysis and informed decision-making.
Design And Durability
Compact and robust, the system is designed to endure harsh environmental conditions. It requires minimal wiring, reducing installation costs, and prioritizes energy efficiency, supporting over 100 BLE nodes. Additionally, the system can receive firmware updates remotely, minimizing the need for manual maintenance.
