The RS-28 Sarmat is a liquid-fueled intercontinental ballistic missile developed by Russia. Its name is derived from the Sarmatian people, who lived in the fourth and fifth centuries BC. In Western countries, it is often referred to as "Satan 2."

• The RS-28 Sarmat is a three-stage, liquid-fueled missile with an impressive range of 18,000 kilometers.

• It has a launch weight of 208.1 metric tons and measures 35.3 meters in length with a diameter of 3 meters.

• As a "heavy" ICBM, the missile can carry up to a 10-ton payload, offering a variety of warhead configurations.

• The missile can accommodate up to 10 heavy nuclear warheads, 16 smaller warheads, or a combination of warheads and countermeasures. It can also carry hypersonic boost-glide vehicles.

• Designed to bypass anti-missile defense systems, the Sarmat features a short initial boost phase, minimizing the detection time for enemy surveillance systems.
