Description
The Rajasthan College Education Commissionerate has asked 20 government institutions to paint the front facades of their buildings and entry halls orange as part of the Kayakalp Scheme.
About The Kayakalp Scheme
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) announced the project on May 15, 2015, as part of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, to promote cleanliness and improve the quality of healthcare facilities in India.
Objectives
To encourage cleanliness, hygiene, infection control, and environmentally friendly practices in public health facilities (PHFs).
To reward and recognise PHFs who demonstrate exceptional performance in terms of standard cleaning and infection control standards.
To instill a culture of continuous performance evaluation and peer review in hygiene, cleanliness, and sanitation.
To reward and recognise PHFs who demonstrate exceptional performance in terms of standard cleaning and infection control standards.

To develop and disseminate sustainable techniques for improving hygiene in PHFs that are connected to beneficial health outcomes.
The Kayakalp assessment is a three-stage procedure that includes internal, peer, and external evaluations. At the start of each fiscal year, a health facility is evaluated, scored, and documented using a pre-determined assessment tool.
The facility's performance would be rated based on the following parameters-

Hygiene Promotion
This plan provides five awards to recognize healthcare centers' hard work and dedication:
Two excellent district hospitals
Two top community health centers or sub-district hospitals
Each district has at least one primary health center.
The winners are presented with cash rewards and citations based on the criteria established.
