Since Diwali is gone, the obvious has occurred. Delhi, India's capital, is once again breaking records for the worst air quality index!  It’s like smoking 25-30 cigarettes a day without even touching one. We all know how dangerous it is for youngsters to go to school, attend assemblies, and play on the ground in a thick, hazy haze. 

As a result, there have been several inquiries about Delhi school closures due to pollution. Some indications indicate that the administration may opt to close schools for a few days. However, there is no formal confirmation as of yet. Parents and students are advised to contact school authorities for more information.

Last year, during Diwali, the air quality dropped to the'severe' level. The Delhi government had to postpone winter vacation to ensure student safety and wellbeing. Schools were ordered to be closed from November 9 to 18, 2023.
