The CCS meeting also approved numerous critical proposals, including the purchase of 31 Predator drones from the United States and the construction of two nuclear submarines through Project ATV. Plans to build military roadways and enhance space-based capabilities were also approved. The DRDO is developing a variety of weapon systems, including Very Short Range Air Defence Systems and quick reaction surface-to-air missile systems.
