 Bangalore's schools, universities, and other educational institutions will be closed tomorrow, October 16, 2024. The order was given by Bengaluru Urban District Collector Jagadeesha. The holiday was proclaimed in response to the city's orange notice for hazardous weather conditions.

Bengaluru has been experiencing steady rain since early this morning, with several complaints of waterlogging and traffic congestion in various locations. institutions have been closed, and most institutions have been ordered to hold online sessions for students in higher grades. According to reports, students in lower levels would be given assignments to complete at home.

It should be noted that October 17, 2024 is a public holiday in Karnataka commemorating Valmiki Jayanti.
