Description
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that the Class 10 and Class 12 board exams would be held in 2025 for about 44 lakh students at 8,000 schools in India and 26 other countries worldwide. Dr Sanyam Bhardwaj, CBSE's Controler of Examinations, stated in a letter to school principals that all schools designated as exam centers must have CCTV monitoring. Bhardwaj stated that schools without CCTV monitoring will not be used as exam centres.
CCTV cameras must cover all parts of the examination hall, including entrances, exits, and desks. The board stated that all students appearing in board exams must be inside the cameras' fields of view.
It further stated that the cameras must be high-resolution to ensure visibility of student behaviors and exam materials. The cameras should record throughout the exam, and the footage should be safely stored and immediately available for review if necessary.
The board stated that only designated examination officials and security personnel are able to view the live feed. For every ten rooms, an invigilator will be assigned to view the tape and report any instances of unfair methods practices.

The CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 board exams are expected to start in February. The detailed date sheets for both courses will be available soon at cbse.gov.in. The board recently uploaded sample papers for next board exams on cbseacademic.nic.in.
