The policy has demonstrated encouraging results, with 95% of pregnant women and 65.9% of lactating women receiving 180 Iron and Folic Acid (IFA) tablets by August 2024, greatly improving maternal and child health outcomes.

Maharashtra leads with 1.80 crore activities.
Bihar follows closely, with 1.17 crore actions.
Madhya Pradesh carried out 79.32 lakh actions.
Uttar Pradesh engaged its large population in 70.28 lakh activities.
Gujarat has contributed 66.76 lakh actions.
Andhra Pradesh too had a significant impact, with 65.54 lakh activities.
Inauguration And Symbolic Initiatives
The 7th edition of Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2024 was launched at Gandhinagar, Gujarat, by Union Minister of Women and Child Development Smt. Annpurna Devi and Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel. The ceremony began with a plantation campaign called "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" (One Tree in Mother's Name), which represented the fundamental link between environmental sustainability and nourishment.
