Description
The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has altered the academic calendar for 2024-25. The schedule has been altered in response to a Supreme Court judgment that allows technical institutes to extend their entrance deadline. According to the new timetable, admissions will be accepted until October 23, 2024.

Previously, admissions were to be finished by September 15, 2024. However, institutions now have until October 23 to finish the admissions process for first-year degree programs at all technical institutes. The extension, however, does not apply to universities that provide Postgraduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) or Postgraduate Certificate in Management (PGCM) degrees. The institutions are instructed to adhere to the original admission schedule, which remains unaltered.
The AICTE has also extended the deadline for lateral entry admissions into second-year technical programs to October 23, 2024.
