Dr. Vinay Goyal has been appointed State Mission Director for the National Health Mission (NHM). He follows K. Jeevan Babu, who has been appointed Managing Director of the Kerala Water Authority. Dr. Goyal, a 2016 batch IAS officer, also serves as Director of the Kerala State IT Mission and Project Director of eHealth Kerala. In his new positions, he hopes to improve Kerala's digital and healthcare infrastructure.

Dr. Goyal has a distinguished career across multiple areas. He has held several positions, including Director of the Scheduled Tribes Development Department, Director of the Backward Classes Development Department, Secretary of the Kerala State Housing Board, Managing Director of Kerala Rapid Transit Corporation Ltd, CEO of Smart City Thiruvananthapuram Limited, and District Development Commissioner of Thiruvananthapuram. His broad expertise has prepared him well for his new tasks.

Educational Background

Dr. Goyal earned an MBBS from PGIMS Rohtak, a Master of Public Management from Jawaharlal Nehru University, and a Master of Public Health (MPH) from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
