Description
On the occasion of Teacher's Day on September 5, 2024, President Droupadi Murmu will present the National Teachers Award 2024 to 50 deserving recipients. It will be hosted at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi.
The National Teachers Award is given to recognize the accomplishments of some of the best teachers, honoring them for increasing the quality of school education and enriching the lives of students. Each awardee will receive a certificate of merit, a cash award of Rs. 50,000, and a silver medal.
National Teachers Award 2024: A List Of Awardees
This year, 50 teachers will be recognized for their contributions to the educational sector. The nominees represent 28 states and three union territories, as well as educators from six different organizations who have been recognized for their contributions.
The list of teachers includes 34 male and 16 female teachers, two differently abled educators, and one who works exclusively with children with special needs.
16 teachers from the Department of Higher Education and 16 teachers from the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship will also be honored during the event.
