Indian Institute of Technology has released its placement and internship report for 2023-24. The placements finished on July 7, 2024, with 22 posts offered with an annual salary of Rs. 1 crore. This year, IIT Bombay reported the second highest number of placements, with about 1475 successful placements reported through June 30, 2024. 388 organizations participated in the 2023-24 placement campaign at IIT Bombay, with 364 of them offering jobs to students. This year, recruiting organizations participated at a 12% higher rate.

Salaries Offered

This year, over 22 jobs were offered during IIT Bombay placements, with students accepting CTCs of more over one crore. The average CTC offered was Rs. 23.50 lakh per annum, while the mean salary offered was Rs. 17.92 lakh per year. The average CTC has increased by 7.7% compared to the previous year.

This year, around 258 students got pre-placement offers, with 78 international offers accepted from businesses in Japan, Taiwan, Europe, the United Arab Emirates, Singapore, the United States, and the Netherlands.  

Top-Performing Sectors

Engineering and Technology, IT/Software, Consulting, Finance, and Research & Development were among the top sectors for recruiting. A total of 1064 proposals were made, and 1475 were accepted.
