Description
Preethi Pal, an Indian para athlete, won another medal for India at the Paris Paralympics 2024, this time a bronze medal in the Women's 200 metres - T35 Final. She won the medal with a personal best time of 30.01 seconds. With this victory, she became the first Indian female Paralympic track and field athlete to win two medals.

Her Achievements
Preethi qualified for her first Paralympic Games after earning the bronze medal in the women's 200m T35 event at the World Para Athletics Championships in Kobe, Japan, earlier this year.
After missing out on a medal at the Asian Para Games in China last year, the Indian para athlete relocated her training base to New Delhi.
The move paid off, as she currently has two Paralympic medals.
India's sixth Medal In The Paris 2024 Paralympics
Preethi's bronze medal on September 1 became India's sixth medal at the Paris 2024 Paralympics. The remaining four medals for India were won in para shooting. Avani Lekhara and Mona Agarwal earned gold and bronze medals in the 10m air rifle shooting standings in SH1 class. Manish Narwal (men's 10m air pistol SH1) and Rubina Francis (women's 10m air pistol SH1) took silver and bronze, respectively.
