Description
The Indian Navy's frontline frigate INS Tabar visited Malaga, Spain, for a two-day engagement on August 25, 2024. After departing on August 27, it took part in a Maritime Partnership Exercise (MPX) with the Spanish Navy Ship Atalaya in the Mediterranean Sea. This exercise marks an important milestone in India and Spain's developing maritime cooperation, demonstrating the strengthening of bilateral marine relations.

The MPX comprised advanced exercises like Station Keeping, Replenishment at Sea Approaches (RASAPs), Flying Exercises (FYEX), Steam Past, and PHOTOEX serials. Both fleets exhibited a high level of professionalism, demonstrating their dedication to improving cooperation efforts.

Naval Flood Relief Efforts In Gujarat
In reaction to heavy rainfall and flood-like conditions in Gujarat, Indian Naval flood rescue teams were sent to Porbandar and Jamnagar. Armed with specialized equipment, these troops successfully evacuated inhabitants, including 50 elderly people, to secure sites. The Indian Navy is still poised to deploy additional teams and equipment for current and future relief efforts.
