The Bar Council of India (BCI) announced on August 28 that the Certificate of Practice (COP) for the XVIII All India Bar Examination (AIBE) has been delivered to the state bar councils. Candidates who passed AIBE XVIII can get the COP from their respective state bar councils. AIBE XVIII certificates have been issued to all state bar councils except Karnataka.
“For any queries or assistance regarding the collection process, please contact your respective State Bar Councils directly. Please note that the COP for candidates under the Karnataka State Bar Council will be released soon. A separate notification will be issued once they are available,” the BCI said.

The COP, which is awarded to people who pass the bar exam, is an important aspect of legal practice. It allows advocates to practice and represent clients in Indian courts.
About AIBE XVIII exam
The results of the XVIII All India Bar Examination were announced on March 23.
Seven questions from the exam were dropped, and the result was calculated using 93 questions rather than 100.
Following the adjustment, the pass grades for the general and OBC categories were determined as 45%, or 93 marks, which rounded up to 42 marks.
For SC, ST, and impaired candidates, the pass mark was determined as 40%, which was 37 marks.
