Description
The 24th International Mother Teresa Awards Ceremony was held on August 26, 2024, in Millennium Plaza Dubai, to commemorate the renowned humanitarian's 114th birth anniversary. The All-India Minority and Weaker Sections Council organized this event, which was conducted outside.
For only the second time, India will host an international ceremony, with both taking place in Dubai. The awards, established posthumously following Mother Teresa's death in 1997, recognize outstanding persons in a variety of fields, including education, science, culture, sports, social work, medicine, industry, and politics.

Ceremony Highlights
The event included a cake-cutting ceremony to commemorate Mother Teresa's birth anniversary and a documentary screening about her life. Organizers acknowledged their excitement at returning to Dubai, which also featured cultural acts reflecting Mother Teresa's compassionate ethos.

The Mother Teresa National Awards Committee continues to honor her memory by hosting cultural events and feeding projects for the disadvantaged. Mother Teresa was born on August 26, 1910, and was beatified as Saint Teresa. She founded the Missionaries of Charity, which has expanded globe to serve the poorest of the poor. Her humanitarian efforts garnered her several prizes, including the Ramon Magsaysay Peace Prize and the Nobel Peace Prize.
