Eligible Countries- The list of eligible countries includes India, the United Kingdom, China, the United States, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Australia, Denmark, Poland, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Nepal, Indonesia, Russia, and Thailand. Other nations include Malaysia, Japan, France, Canada, the Czech Republic, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Israel, Belarus, Iran, Sweden, South Korea, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, and New Zealand.

In the past, there were concerns with exorbitant on-arrival immigration fees, which were handled by a foreign corporation. This new approach tries to address those concerns while also increasing Sri Lanka's appeal to tourists.
