The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Sirmaur has announced the establishment of the Post Graduate Programme for Executives (PGPEX) titled "Leadership in Smart Manufacturing" (LSM).
The program, created in collaboration with Germany's RWTH Aachen University, intends to provide senior executives with the skills and knowledge required to lead in the age of Industry 4.0.
The PGPEX-LSM program is intended to meet the growing demand for leaders who understand the complexity of smart manufacturing. This advanced curriculum combines rigorous academic coursework with practical insights from industry professionals, ensuring that experienced engineers understand the most recent technology, strategies, and leadership practices in smart manufacturing. The program is designed to address the most recent breakthroughs in smart manufacturing, such as automation, digital transformation, AI, IoT, and sustainable manufacturing practices, according to IIM Sirmaur.
“We are proud to launch the PGPEX-LSM in collaboration with RWTH Aachen University. This program underscores our commitment to providing world-class education and fostering global partnerships. We believe that our graduates will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of smart manufacturing," said Professor (Dr) Prafulla Agnihotri, Director of IIM Sirmaur.
The application period for the one-year, full-time, fully residential PGPEX-LSM program is currently open. Interested candidates should go to the IIM Sirmaur website for further information on eligibility requirements, application deadlines, and other details. The program will commence in January 2025.
RWTH Aachen University is a public research university based in Aachen, Germany. According to the news release, participants in the program will be able to attend a module (semester) at RWTH Aachen University, obtaining firsthand experience with advanced manufacturing facilities and best practices in Germany.
