The Health, Medical Education, and Family Welfare Department recently launched the Upasthiti Portal, as announced by Chief Minister Hemant Soren. This effort seeks to correctly track the daily attendance of all health department employees, including doctors and paramedical workers. Purpose Of The Upasthiti Portal
The Upasthiti Portal uses biometric attendance to ensure that health department personnel are present and functioning. This approach is intended to increase accountability and efficiency in the state's healthcare services.
The Government's Commitment To Healthcare Services
During the launch, Chief Minister Soren underlined the government's commitment to upgrading medical services. The government guarantees that hospitals and health institutions have adequate resources, such as proper upkeep, essential repairs, diagnostic services, and medical supplies.
Operations Of District Hospitals
The Chief Minister announced intentions to operate district hospitals 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to provide all types of surgeries with professional doctors. This plan intends to eliminate the need for patients to be referred to other hospitals by ensuring they receive complete care in their own district.
Improved Communication And Referral Systems
A new communication system will link primary health sub-centers and health centres to district hospitals. This will make it easier to promptly transport patients requiring advanced care to the appropriate facilities. The Chief Minister further emphasized the significance of successfully utilizing human resources in health facilities. Staffing levels will be evaluated and altered based on each hospital's specific needs in order to maintain high-quality service. The government intends to put in place strong surveillance mechanisms to track doctors' and medical staff's attendance at hospitals. They also intend to implement hospital management procedures similar to those used in private hospitals, such as CCTV and Wi-Fi networks, for improved supervision.
