Description
India will host the third Voice of the Global South Summit on August 17, 2024. This virtual event will focus on key global concerns such as conflicts, development challenges, and climate change. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will chair the summit, which will include discussions with officials from several countries.
Goal Of The Summit
The summit provides an opportunity for countries in the Global South—those in Latin America, Africa, and parts of Asia—to express their perspectives, challenges, and goals. Its purpose is to enhance communication and collaboration amongst poor countries. The first summit was held in January 2023, and the second in November 2023, just after the G20 Summit. Each tournament attracted over 120 countries.
