India will host its first multinational air exercise, 'Tarang Shakti 2024', in two parts beginning on the 6th of next month near Sular, Tamil Nadu. Nearly 30 countries will participate in this exercise, with ten of them sending fighter aircraft. The exercise would highlight India's defense capabilities and provide a forum for participating military to develop cooperation.
Expanded To 51 Nations
Invitations have been extended to 51 nations. "Ten countries will participate with assets and 18 as observers, with one more country expected to join," said Air Marshal Singh.
Indian Aircrafts Taking Part
The Indian Air Force will participate in the massive exercise with its LCA Tejas, Mirage 2000, and Rafale aircraft. According to Air Marshal A P Singh, Vice Chief of the Air Staff (VCAS), this exercise will also highlight India's defense strength and propel the country closer to 'Atmanirbharta'.

Goals Of Exercise 'Tarang Shakti'
The exercise 'Tarang Shakti' aims to develop our strategic relationships with our worldwide community partners.
We also want to improve our cultural and diplomatic ties with these countries.
We look forward to the exercise that will create stronger cooperation and understanding among the participating forces.
During this exercise, we will strive to demonstrate our energy and dynamism while also learning from one another about operating procedures, tactics, and strategies.
Reason For Two Phases
Given the wide involvement, and also to accommodate to the requirements of certain friendly foreign countries, "we have decided to do it in two parts" Air Marshal Singh added.
Phase 1 in Tamil Nadu
The first phase will take place in the Sulur area of south India, and it will feature assets from four countries: Germany, France, Spain, and the United Kingdom.
Phase 2 in Jodhpur
The second phase will take place in Jodhpur, with Australia, Bangladesh, Greece, Singapore, the UAE, and the United States participating with their assets. Along with this, 18 countries will send observers rather than aircraft.
India's Indigenous Products
LCA Tejas, Mirage 2000, Rafale, LCH Prachand, Dhruv, and Rudra will represent India in the flying part, demonstrating the country's indigenous products. Air Marshal Singh announced that the Indian Navy will participate in phase one with one aircraft.
Country Not Participating
Russia was invited to the exercise, but they were unable to participate due to their current conflict.
