The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has postponed the supplementary exam for classes 10 and 12, which was initially planned for July 26, due to persistent rains across the state.
In an official notice issued on July 26, the board said that Cass 10, Science and Technology Part 2, which was planned for July 26, has been rescheduled for July 31. The exam time stays between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm.
Similarly, the examinations for three courses in Class 12—Organization of Commerce and Management, Food Science and Technology, and MCVC—will now be place on August 9 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.
According to MSBSHSE, there will be no changes to the remaining exams.
Furthermore, the board has announced that candidates who were unable to attend the July 25 exam due to the downpour will be allowed to reappear in it.
It should be noted that the Class 10 supplementary exams were originally slated to take place between July 16 and July 30, and the Class 12 exams were scheduled from July 16 to August 8.
This year, the regular Class 10 board examination began on March 1 and ended on March 26, 2024, with over 15 lakh candidates participating. The Maharashtra SSC examination was divided into two shifts: 11:00 am to 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The Maharashtra SSC 10th Result 2024 was released on May 27. An total pass rate of 95.81% was recorded.
Similarly, Maharashtra HSE or Class 12 results were declared on May 21, with a total of 93.31% of students passing. Over 14 lakh students appeared in the Maharashtra HSC or Class 12 final exam this year.
