IIT Delhi and Prasar Bharati hosted the two-day Robot Competition 'DD-Robocon' India 2024 on July 13 At Thyagaraj Stadium in Delhi. The event attracted over 750 students from over 45 colleges, institutions, and universities across the country.

India Participates In The International Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union Robocon 2024

During the competition, robots competed against one another to complete complex tasks within specific time limits. The winner team from DD-Robocon represented India at the worldwide Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union Robocon 2024, which will be held in Quang Ninh, Vietnam.

The Aim Of This Competition

According to an IIT-Delhi press release, DD-Robocon India aims to foster technical skill development, innovation, and teamwork among engineering students by offering prominence and recognition in the field of robotics. It further stated that the tournament provides a prestigious venue for demonstrating and advancing students' engineering and robotics abilities.

IIT-Delhi Professor S K Saha thanked Prasar Bharati for allowing IIT Delhi and its knowledge partners to host the prestigious competition and choose the winner team to represent India at the ABU-Robocon in Vietnam.
