The Haryana Cabinet has approved the launch of the IT Saksham Yuva Scheme 2024, which aims to provide jobs to 5,000 youngsters in the first phase. This effort fits with the 2024-25 budget's 'Mission 60,000', which aims to employ 60,000 young people from low-income families. Graduates or postgraduates with IT backgrounds will participate in specially tailored short-term courses for at least three months. After training, they will be assigned to various agencies, boards, corporations, districts, registered societies, and private enterprises. Participants would be paid Rupees 20,000 per month for the first six months, followed by Rupees 25,000. If not deployed, individuals will get a monthly jobless stipend of Rupees 10,000.
Amarnath Bhagat Jairam Girls' College Takeover
The Haryana Cabinet has decided to take over Amarnath Bhagat Jairam Girls College in Kaithal. The land, building, and other assets will be given to the Department of Higher Education for free, and students will be accepted beginning with the following academic session.
Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Judicial Commission
Amendments to the Haryana Sikh Gurdwaras (Management) Act of 2014 now allow a High Court judge to serve as chairman of the Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Judicial Commission. The age requirement of 65 for the chairman's appointment has been removed. The Haryana Sikh Gurdwaras Management Committee (Delimitation of Wards and Election) Rules, 2023, have been changed, abolishing the requirement to pay Rupees 100 and Rupees 500 for inclusion in the electoral roll.
Land Lease For Gaushala In Nuh
The Cabinet granted a 20-year lease on property in Rangala, Nuh district, to build a gaushala for 1,000-1,500 animals. The governing committee will include ex-officio members such as the sarpanch, block development, and panchayat officer.
Shifting Tehsils
The relocation of Badanpur and Sunderpura from Tehsil Uchana to Tehsil Narwana in Jind district has been approved.
Affordable Housing Schemes
The Mukhya Mantri Shehri Awas Yojana and Mukhya Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana have been approved to provide housing for the urban and rural needy. Eligibility for the urban scheme requires a documented annual household income of up to Rupees 1.80 lakh. Beneficiaries will receive a plot of one marla (30 square yards) and financial assistance of up to Rupees 1.5 lakh for house construction. The rural initiative provides financial assistance of up to Rupees 1 lakh for purchasing residential plots up to 100 square yards.
Ordinance To Amend the Village Common Land Act
An ordinance modifying the Haryana Village Common Lands (Regulation) Act of 1961 has been approved. Ownership of land in Shamilat Deh leased for 20 years will be passed to the original allottee, transferee, or legal heir. Villagers who built residences on or before March 31, 2004, will be able to purchase panchayat land for up to 500 square yards at a price that is at least the market rate.
