Description
Archaeologists discovered a 41,000-year-old ostrich nest in Prakasam, Andhra Pradesh. This is the oldest known nest of its type anywhere in the world. The site provided us with crucial information regarding prehistoric India's megafauna, including possible hints as to how they became extinct. Assistant Professor Devara Anil Kumar of MS University, Vadodara, led a team that discovered what used to be a nest capable of holding 30 to 40 eggs, but only 9 to 11 egg shells were uncovered.

The term refers to a category of large creatures, including mega omnivores such as ostriches, which can grow to be nine feet tall and weigh between 90 and 140 kg.
