Description
Sucheta Kripalani is a significant figure in Indian politics because she was the first woman to be elected Chief Minister of an Indian state, Uttar Pradesh. She served in office from October 2, 1963 to March 13, 1967. There were several changes in politics when she gained power, primarily as a result of the Kamaraj Plan, which attempted to revive Congress leadership in all states.

Sucheta Kripalani became Chief Minister as a result of a unique mix of circumstances and her well-known reputation as a capable leader. During Chandra Bhanu Gupta's visit, J. B. The final decision was reached during a CLP meeting in Lucknow, where MLAs voted anonymously. Sucheta Kripalani defeated Kamalapati Tripathi by 99 votes.
